Each year at Sycamore is full of events for kids to celebrate their learning. They are also opportunities for families to connect, build friendships and grow their community. A selection of our events are highlighted below.
Exhibition
A bi-annual event that immerses parents in the work of each class, showcasing innovative personal and collaborative projects that demonstrate students' learning and progress.
Cardboard Carnival
Students are prompted to flex their creativity and imagination to make a carnival game to be showcased at our Halloween community event. On the day of the event, family members, friends and students come together for a day of play, fun and celebration.
Sycamore Glampout
A cozy family camping expedition where kids get to roam and play and their families get to disconnect from a busy world and reconnect with each other.
Partybook
The Sycamore community hosts monthly Partybook events that bring people together around creative endeavors that build the fabric of the school community.
Community Soup Event
An annual social culinary event where the community comes together to enjoy yummy soup made by the students of Sycamore.
Poetry Night
An evening of student-made poetry that puts into action reading, writing and presentation skills in a fun community forum.
Sycamore Theater
Students participate in a year long theater programe that culminates in a live production at the Theatricum Botanicum.
Annual Gala
We host a yearly dinner and auction under the stars where once-in-a-lifetime experiences are made available to the community.
RIP "I Can't" Ceremony
The community comes together to bury their 'I can't' statements, reinforcing the value of growth mindset.
